Wow May is already upon us! Next week my husband and I will celebrate our anniversary! Hard to believe that we will be married 17 years! I wouldn’t change anything, I love him and our big family. Not sure if we are doing anything yet for it but I know whatever we do it will be great. #anniversary #love #lovearebigfamily #wonderfulhardworkinghusband #heknowsimnutsandstillchoosestobewithme

Rooster
My fil and mil (father in law and mother in law ) were in town today. We had a nice time with them only wish it could of been longer and that we could see them more often. They brought me a gift!

A rooster! 🤣🤣 I love him and so do the kids. My daughter helped me find a place to hang our new friend. We decided to hang him in the schoolroom / play room so that way we can look at him all day!

Bunk beds
Chickens are funny! Even though my girls have more than one nesting box they always have to have the same one. It makes me laugh every time. They remind me of kids always wanted the top bunk. 🤣🤣. Good thing Bella doesn’t mind Medusa fluffy butt in her face🤣🤣

Looking back
Looking back through my photos past night and I came across this beauitful one that I took last summer.

I hope I get some good looking flowers again this year. A good friend had told me about a sale on roses so of course I couldn’t pass it up! This weekend the weather should be nice I’m hoping to get them planted. #flowerareawesome #gardening #photos #thanksforreading

Growing kids
As my kids get bigger they remind me of trash compactors 🤣 always hungry never getting full, my girls (chickens)are the same way… 🤣🤣. While they were eating their lunch I went out to check on the girls. It was a nice day today. It wasn’t too warm but it wasn’t cold. I let Medusa out to help with some weed pulling.

Mother nature
The start of my carrots is doing very well. I do need to thin them out still. where I live Mother nature has been going through menopause … she has been having hot flashes and then her cold snaps are her yelling. I would like to get my first set of my carrots and the rest of my garden outside so Mother nature if you could just stick with the hot flashes that would be great.

Picky kids
If you’re lucky you won’t have a picky eater. I however I have two that are. My 15 year old is picky on how it looks and smells. He has gotten better with age. Now he will at least try it, my daughter though is picky in a different way. If it doesn’t look how she thinks it should she doesn’t want to eat it. Example… we had hash browns at a restaurant the other day. They had the hash browns in this cute little square shape. So for dinner to night I made hash brown, eggs, and waffles ( we like to do breakfast for dinner sometimes) my daughter got upset and didn’t want to eat her hash browns.. can you guess why? Because they weren’t in a square shape! So being the good mom I am .. I said okay I took her fork cut it into a square and then told she still had to eat the parts that I cut off too. Not wasting food due to square non sense. #pickyeater #sillychildren #momlife #squaresarethenewcoolforthisweek

Pond
This weekend my husband helped me redo our pond. I love it, I forgot to take a before photo but let me tell you it was not much to look at. I can’t wait for the flowers to bloom. There are lilies, tulips, wild flowers, and Wisteria in the big black pot. Around the pond area we will plant grass.

I love the little flower light my husband got for the middle of the pond. The light changes color. It also has fog that comes out of the middle of it.

Yard work
Yard work never ends… just like laundry! Today I was hoping to get some more rocks moved and I did get some moved. I however didn’t get to the big one that I’ve been wanting to tackle. I was however excited that my kale has sprouted.

New feeder
Today my husband and I got up a new feeder for the girls ( chickens) Its made out of pvc piping. 3 inch around and 4 ft in Height. I have two in the coop one on each side. They both hold two and half gallons of chicken pellets. I’m so glad I put these in. There are two openings at the end of each feeder for the girls to eat out of.
