Today I gave the girls (chickens) some strawberries. Of course they love them but I’m also getting ready for when we get into the upper temperatures. Taking some strawberries, peas, mint, and cut up grapes. Put food in the ice cube tray fill with water and freeze. Then I will have a tasty cold snack for them. This evening I won a free seat at my local painting place. The painting that the artist did for hers had ” wanderlust ” painted on it. I decided for my painting that I would change it and put Delicious Cluckers Farm on mine. I forgot how much I loved painting!

Summer vacation has started for us but it’s been rainy and cold. Its normal to have second winter where I live😂. I plan on getting a lot of things done. Last night I got kiwi jam made it turned out very nice! Today I went out an spent some time with my girls ( chickens) they haven’t been happy about the rain. We are on our last week of school for us. As I can’t wait for summer vacation I do get a little teary-eyed. Packing up their books to be sent back realizing that when we start up again in August four out of the five kids will be in school. My oldest will be going into 11th grade 😱😱 and number 4 will be starting kindergarten. This weekend the kids and I have had the flu. When you have kids and they have the flu it’s a lot like a frat party. No one wants to do anything and everyone is puking. When you become a mom you have an idea about how you want to do things there is an image of what you think it will be like. No one ever thinks about their kid puking on their taco that they are having for lunch or getting woken up in the middle of the night and having their kid puke in their face. One day you and children’s child will all be sitting around a table and all the sleepless night, all fits, all the toys that get left out, and all the puking will be worth it when you are sitting around that table telling your grandchildren about the time their dad threw up in a taco. #flu #momlife #dadlife #parentslife #hobby #backyarding #pukeinataco #taco #largefamily #children #kids #lotsofcleaning # fratpartys #sickkids

Yesterday evening our neighbor was having a tree removed from their yard. The company doing it didn’t have a good hold on a limb they were cutting it fell into my yard knocking over my flower pots into my pond. When I was outside cleaning up the mess of mud now in my pond I noticed my pond spitter was now smashed! I called our neighbor and asked her who I needed to speak with about getting reimbursed. They said they check and get back to me. Well this evening my neighbor showed up with a new spitter for my pond. I was amazed that they replaced it out of their own pocket! I was going to talk to the company. It goes to show you that there are good people out there who do the right thing. It’s hard to find that these days.
