Finally Friday! A three day weekend also.. yay! After a long week I’m looking forward to this three day weekend. Tomorrow I’m hosting a moms night out. It will be nice to see some of the good friends I have made. I also plan on getting some more yard work done. Not looking forward to moving more of those large rocks but it’s got to get done.

Snowgirl
Where I live we got a light dusting of snow! I decided to let one of my girls ( chickens) out to see what they would like it or not. Bella at first walked on the parts where there wasn’t any snow. π€£ She quickly got over the light dusting of snow and went for some grass!

Today the girls (chickens) played out of their run again. Got a cute photo of their fluffy butts. I think their fluffy butts make a heart kinda.π€ π€£π€£π€£π€£π€ #valentinesday #loveblackhearts #chickens

The big game
The big game! The day where fans get together to show off their wonderful spreads of food, watch football, and to bet. I do like football but sadly I haven’t watched it that much this year. We will be watching the The big game at home. For my family I will be making little Smokies, nachos, and cookies. What are you making for The big game? I would love to have some recipes put in the comments! #thebiggame #lovefood #besafeeveryone #cooking ( even if you don’t watch football I would love for you to share your recipes also)

Nice weather!
When the weather is nice no one wants to be indoors! I have to admit I don’t want be in doors on a day like today either. Our high is 62, there is no wind, and there is a nice Blue sky! It’s odd weather for us this time of year. Normally at this time of year it’s cold, very windy, and sometimes snow down in the valley. So when the weather is at its finest for the start of February we had to take advantage of it! We went out on our school lunch break, the kids played, the girls (chickens) ran around in their run, and I found most of the parts for the green house. However the plastic looks like Freddy Krueger got a hold of itππ. #greenhouse #niceweatherforthisweek

Apple cider vinegar
Today I started my girls on Apple cider vinegar and garlic in their water. It’s one tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar per gallon. Apple cider vinegar could have health benefits for chickens just like it does for humans it supports the immune system. It has a lot of vitamins. It can help with digestion and making it less friendly for little bad critters to enter your chickens. One clove of garlic in their water. It is said that the garlic will help keep mites away…( my girls do not have mites I give them the garlic because just like for people it is healthy. ) because they don’t like the taste of garlic in the blood. This was told to me by a farmer. I’ve done my own research to me it makes sense to try it out. Others say that the garlic is just a myth. Just like anything you are going to have people with their own way of doing something.. some say this works others say it doesn’t. Do your own research and find out what works best for you!

Shuts & opens
When one door shuts they say another one opens. I don’t think it’s just one door that opens, what if many doors open up and you just don’t see them or what if you need to look for them. Sometimes waiting to see what you should do can be stressful. Big change is not welcome by many. The last few days I’ve been faced with a big change and I have to keep reminding myself to look for those doors because they are out there. #change #yourcandoit #lookforthoseopendoors.

Cranky pillows
Tonight I’ve had a very cranky baby, I think he’s teething. So with the few free minutes I was able to get, I made some new pillows! I love the fabric! I however need to practice more on my ladder stitch! πππππ

Bobbins
You would think putting thread on a bobbin ( for sewing ) would be easy. Little plastic thing no bigger than a thumb.

First you need to put the tread through one of the holes.. everyone says it doesn’t matter which hole some say just the top hole. Then you hook your bobbin on to your sewing machine and press the foot petal down slowly and it winds up… sounds simple enough right…. well it’s not! If it doesn’t go on evenly well then you’re starting all over! That’s what I’ve had to do it many times over the last few days.

I know it’s hard to see in this photo but up at the top you can see where it didn’t go smoothly.

This one is done nicely, it’s smooth and not loose. It’s also the one that came with the sewing machine. Practice is what I need to do.. lots and lots of practice! #bobbinscanbetricky #whomadethebobbin #whatwereyouthinkingwhenyoumadethebobbin #practice #bobbincansuck
