Cleaning out the coop and one of the girls ( chickens) wants some loves! My black Australorp wanted some loves this time. She jump up on my lap, which if your gonna do that it means selfie time. However I will need to add some dirt to the bottom of their coop because the girls are digging!

Ok so our backyard chickens make such a crazy mess that we have to clean their coop like every day. How do you keep yours neat??

I clean mine out once a week. I use pine shavings on the bottom and in the nesting boxes, helps with smell and the flies. I rake out everything then I add the new shavings. Once a month I put in some new soil in the bottom of the coop.
