A nice cool day right now where I live kinda feels like a fall day just missing the colors of the leaves. The cool weather is so very nice, after the week or so of having 101 temp( dry heat). The girls (chickens) are enjoying the cool weather right now as well. They are happily eating the kale I gave them

Today I got to see Medusa lay an egg! I almost got it on video. I was trying to get my phone out so fast but she was faster lol at lest I got an after photo.

Today the kids and I were going through some oxes that haven’t been gone through in years! You know the kinda of boxes I’m talking about.. you label them as junk when you are trying to move and you just want to be done. You say you will get to them and then as time moves on you move these boxes to the back of the closet and ….forget about them. In one of these forgotten boxes my oldest found my Stimpy doll from when I was a kid. I loved the old Ren & Stimpy when I was younger.

I’m not the best at those 3d puzzles…. like algebra I just can’t rap my brain around how to do that either ha ha! However my husband is very good at doing the 3d puzzles. He has put together quite a few for me but this one he did for our four year old who is very much in love with dinosaurs! Our four year old loves them so much he even brushes his toy dinosaurs teeth! 
My four year old wanted to start playing with this as soon as dad was done building it. I told him it had to stay up that it was just to look at. Of course like all kids he looked at me like I was insane .. so big brother came up with the idea that dinosaur would stay in the hall way watching over him in the night. My wonderful sun flowers have started to bloom! My daughter has been impatiently waiting for these flowers to bloom. That is something my daughter needs to learn … Patience!!! I told her now all the hard work of watering it, making sure the bugs stay away / also her little brothers, and making sure it gets the right amount of sun light has finally paid off!

Today the quail are exactly six weeks old! Yay!! Also this evening they laid their first egg! Quail mature so much faster than chickens.

Last night I went out with my good friends and one of them made me an egg apron! She did an amazing job and I love it! I used my apron this morning and it works so well. It keeps my hands free to check on and play with the girls (chickens). My friend is so talented with the things she makes.
I also love the way the colors go together on this apron. A while back ago I was talking about how a Neapolitan apron would be cool but instead of making the one area chocolate color doing grey because grey is my favorite color! It was a year ago that I got one of my favorite girl (chicken). I had ordered her from a breeder. I knew as soon as the breeder had sent me the photo of her that she was the perfect one for me.😍 she was being shipped over night, I was so excited I didn’t really sleep much that night, I was like a kid on Christmas eve. Time seemed to go so slowly. I waited the whole day next constantly looking at my phone… just like the old days when you pick it up to make sure there was a dial tone 🤣🤣🤣. I knew she had been shipped because the breeder had sent me the info now being at the end of the day I called the post office and…they told me they had no clue where my girl was!😢 I couldn’t believe they had lost a live animal! The next day I went down in the morning I wasn’t happy that my girl was lost. They had said her package last scan was when she left the post office but hasn’t been checked in at any of the stops. Well let’s just say when you start yelling in a post office about how they better find your chicken you get some pretty odd looks🤣😢. Two more days went by.. I was starting to think she was dead. Just as I was getting dinner set on the table for my family my phone rang.. it was the post office! They had my girl and they weren’t sure if she was alive. I went as fast as I could to the post office(across town😲) got my girl.. opened the box.. there she was breathing but not happy! Got my girl back home to get her the things she needed to help her and here we are a year later ….(top photo is a year ago bottom photo a few weeks ago)
