On a lazy Sunday! I worked on my painting, I’m happy with how it turned out. My daughter enjoyed going out and playing with the girls today ( chickens). She told her brothers that she wished that they could have another sibling, she would like a little sister. I said sweet heart you do have little sisters. She looked at me puzzled. I went on to tell her that she has a black Australorp, buff orpington, and an ayam cemani for sisters and they are the best kind of sisters they give her eggs! 🤣🤣🤣 My daughter was not amused by this. .. her brothers however found it funny!

What is it about fall weather that makes almost everyone happy? For some it’s all the pumkpin stuff for others it’s the weather cooling off or the smells like Apple crisp honey candles. For me it’s the leaves, I love the changing colors of them, one of my favorite things to do is to sit with a mug of hot Apple cider and watch my kids play, they get excited when a leaf slowly makes its way down for them to put into a pile to jump in.

Today I made two desserts. One is mini individual apple pies. The recipe called to make a lattice with the dough on top but I decided to do something a little bit more fun and cut the dough into little circles and make flowers on top. I think they turned out cute( they are not baked yet in the photo). The other is mint chocolate cover brownie cheesecake, first time making this one also. I think it turned out well also.

A while back ago I did a post about some food from the Gourment Cupboard! My friend sent me some of the dips. I made the Ranch dressing one, for me it was spicy but that could just be me. Other than the kick it was good, just used tortilla chips but I’m sure it would go great as a dip for veggies. 🤣🤣🤣. Tomorrow I will be trying the cheesecake dip with Graham crackers. When the weather turns nice and I finally get some time to go out and see my girls! ( chickens) I love how they are kinda like dogs and cats just want to be petted and shown love, she raise her butt just a little bit when I pet her🤣. This is my black Australorp. I love her feathers as you can see when the sun hits you can see the green in them. I’m waiting for her to molt so I can take her feathers clean them and make a wreath out of them.

It’s been a long couple of days here at my house hold. The kids have their things to do around the house they do dishes ( the older kids/teen) and the younger one have to pick up toys. If there is one chore I hate doing is folding the laundry! I don’t mind washing it and drying it. So I pile it up and my WONDERFUL husband folds it all on his days off😍. I think it’s great when my husband and children help out around the house.. after all the kids are the ones who mess it up 😂😂😂😂

After a long day of doing school with the kids, cooking, and getting some cleaning done. I told the older kids to go outside to play. I got mess around and paint One of my small vases. I think it looks cute! of course my daughter says as she running inside to grab more toys to take outside “mom that looks awesome.” 😁 she is trying to butter me up as she gives me the wonderful smile of hers, she knows I don’t allow that many toys to be taken out🤣🤣🤣.

My girls (chickens) have been doing their job! I have a lot of eggs, I need to get my baking on. Brownies, cookies, and cakes are in my house holds future. I will give most of my bake goods away as I always do. The joy I get from seeing the look on my kids faces when they go to check on the chickens to see if there is an egg will never get old. My daughter goes out to check on them three or four times a day.

I love the weekends.. do I get a lot done lol. Sometimes, did I get a lot done for today🤣🤣🤣 no way! I did get the fire place cleaned out. That is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. I did find a place to hang the painting of my ayam cemani chicken that Mrs. Sheridan painted for me. Right in my upstairs hallway so that way when my kids come down the hall they can be greeted by my favorite chicken 🤣🤣🤣 #ayamcemani #kids

Very long day for school today, nothing has been done except for housework. The weather is windy and rainy. Nice grey clouds out give the feeling that winter is coming and fall is getting it’s butt kicked! Went out to check on the chickens two of them we’re huddled in the nesting box. It’s cute to see them doing that. It’s like watching your kids be nice to each other and getting it on film, a Kodak moment is what they called it back in the day. 😂😂😂
