I love all my coturnix quail but these coturnix quail that are pearls I’m totally in awe over them. Here are a few photos of one of my Pearl hens. She and I were hanging out in the yard enjoying the summer breeze.

For most people they don’t think about their health. When you are healthy it’s the last thing on your mind. That’s how it was for me. I’m still healthy but I have found a hard lump in my leg. It’s a wait and see game now. I’ve been keeping myself busy I got a paperweight made it’s a sea shell themed. The thing I love about the paperweights that I make is that they can be used also as knick knacks! I’ve also been busy with the girls (chickens), quail ( my Pearl’s are looking amazing hopefully in the next week or so I can get some good photos of them), and then of course there’s school with the kids. While doing all these things it’s still in the back of my mind about this lump will it go away ( been on meds already for it) or will I need surgery to have it removed? #hobby #backyarding #crafts #chickens #chook #coturnix #quail #cuteandsmall #health #pleaseshare #pleasefollow #thankyou

As fall comes so does cooler weather! As we get closer to the colder months the quail and chickens will slow down in their laying. Nature’s way of taking a break. My goal is to get more jam and soapdishes made but with wanting to get those done comes birthdays and holidays! I’m happy that we are ready for Halloween! Our first week of school is done! There were a few hiccups but we are getting back into the routine! My oldest is liking most of his classes, my second oldest is getting the hang of middle school, and my third and fourth are getting the hang of their new school. Today number 3 got an 80% on her science she had no help. She was very proud of herself as am I. Along with getting school done I also got 12 dz eggs from the quail. I finally get to use my new eggs cartons!

I got more coturnix quail but these ones are pearls! They just hatched last night.

They are doing great eating and drinking. Love their yellow fuzz! When they lose their fuzz they will be white with black spots.

On Monday I hurt my ankle! I was out feeding/watering the girls (chickens) and the quail, then down I went..and I tripped over nothing! At lest I got everyone fed/freash water before I fell🤣. Having to stay off of it hasn’t been easy. I’m the type of person who has to have a great amount of work done before I can relax.
