When your doing school with the kids and you have to stop to see what your chicken is clucking so loudly about…. an egg lol she laid an egg. She is pretty darn proud of her self! As you can see in the photo she let me get a close up of her. I guess if I Laid an egg in the morning I would be pretty happy about it too.. normally she only lays in the evening..😂😂😂

What do you do when you have a crazy day with the kids.. I’m talking about school is paused due to doctors appointment, the weather is bad, and you forget to take something out of the freezer for dinner… you pick up Taco Bell and call it family night! Lol. As my oldest said .. hey mom taco Tuesday cool. Even with the pause for the doctor appointment we still got done all that was needed on our plan for school!

I’m finally done with redoing the fish tank stand! I’m very happy with how it turned out. It did take me a little longer to get it done, my baby wanted to help… a lot! After all the little hands that got turned blue from grabbing the paint I would like to say I wouldn’t change a thing… Lol I would change the little blue hand prints that are now on my other wall.

Happy labor day weekend! Our weekend will be celebrating our babys first birthday! I can’t believe that it has been a year, We are doing a lumber jack theme birthday, I made blue cup cakes and will be putting red frosting with little black lines going a cross them, then topping it off with little axes. Hopefully I will be getting some project’s done before we celebrate!

What a long day! We didn’t get done with school until late in the day and the baby was very fussy! My projects got put on hold for the day, but that’s okay because watching my kids play outside on this nice summer day is worth it all. I love how they include their baby brother who will be turning one on Saturday! He also took two steps today, seeing the look on his sibling’s faces as he takes those steps is just priceless.

The funny looks chickens can give you. I know most say well it’s a chicken how could they give you looks or have different personalities. Well they do! Bella didn’t like that I was in the nesting boxes today. She was squawking at me, when I started taking photos of her. She bent over like a mom yelling at her kid to let her have 5 mins of peace! I swear if she could talk I bet she say “get the hell out of here” or ” your father is home go ask him”

When you walk in on your chicken laying an egg and she gives you the look of, leave me the hell alone! Lol. Well even though we got the look of death, my daughter got to see her lay an egg. The look on my daughter’s face was so cute. I’ll never forget the smile that spread across her face! She couldn’t wait to tell her father.

My beautiful roses! I can never decide if I should cut my roses and put them in a vase to have something pretty on my kitchen counter or to leave them on the vine. Well besides taking photos of my roses I got some of the medium rocks moved. Next I need to get the dead weeds cleaned out then I can start putting the decorative stones I want to get to make the borders for the garden beds.

This evening I was out pulling weeds, sucks that is almost September and we are still getting new weeds. Like always I give the weeds to my chickens! As I was giving them the weeds Bella jumps up on my lap, of course I had to take a photo of her cute little face. After school, I got chocolate chip cookies made for the kids, and a color picked out to paint the fish tank stand. Scandinavian blue! I can’t wait to get started on it. I haven’t decided on a design that I want to put on it yet though. My 3 year old wants to help .. But he also wants me to put a cartoon character on the stand. I really don’t want a paw patrol on my stand. 😂😂

The first week of school is done! Whoo hoo! The week went better than I thought it would have, we only had one really long day. The baby was extremely fussy today, teething is just no fun. Now that it’s the weekend, time to tackle some of the house projects, and bake some brownies. I will be getting the rest of the painting done in the bathroom. Then I will get the light switch changed out. I want to change them from a flip switch, to a push button. I will be picking out paint, to paint the fish tank stand. I’m thinking of doing it white with some kinda design, maybe maroon roses. Looking forward to that!
