Today was a good day! Got some errands done, cleaned the house, got three jars of strawberry jam made, and 11 jars of cantaloupe jam made. We have never had cantaloupe jam before so it will be fun to try.

I really don’t like Play-Doh .. yes it looks fun. You can make almost anything with it. When it gets smashed in the carpet it loses all fun! It’s like the water boy movie with Adam Sandler where his mother says everything is the devil.. sometimes I wonder if play -doh is the devil jk 🤣. There is something that can be even harder to clean… tooth paste! Tooth paste gets hard as a rock .. how does this happen? You know what I don’t want to know but I do want to know how tooth paste got on my wall?? 🤣🤣. My younger kids each have a tooth paste of different color ( it helps with hey that’s mine fighting ) so when I looked over and saw dark green tooth paste on my leafy green wall I knew it was my four year olds. I called him in to ask, he looked at me with those big eyes of his and held up his dinosaur and said “mommy blue needed her teeth brushed too” 🤣🤣 he’s taking an interest in brushing teeth even the ones that are not his maybe he will be a dentist? 🤣 #toothpasteisreallycement #helpmmommycleanthebathroomwall #evendinosaursneedtheirteethcleaned #pleasesharemyblog #thanksforreading

My wonderful friend told me about the company that gives free mulch for our area. I signed up for it on monday.. they gave a truck load today (wed)!! I’m excited to have all this mulch but I will be working with mulch for the next few weeks🤣🤣.

We used wheel barrows and buckets to move the mulch. “Many hands make for light work” is what I told my kids. All my kids helped out! Today one of my wonderful friend gave me some dirt, some mulch, some flowers, veggies, and she went and picked up two pallets for me. I can’t thank her enough! It was nice to hang out with her and let our kids play. This evening my husband and I started mapping out how to use the pallets. It rained a lot today where I live but we did catch a break in the weather for a bit. I love it when it rains means I don’t have to worry about getting out to water the lawn and the garden but on the other hand it’s not very much fun getting the girls their water or food while its raining. When one of the quail hatched it was born with a few deformities. It was born with scissor beak and only one eye. We had decided sense it wasn’t showing any sign of pain and it was eating and drinking we would see how things went. With taking on this little handicapped pet we picked the name Andy (still don’t know the sex of any of the quail for a few more weeks). Checking little Andy today we noticed that it’s scissor beak is looking much better. I even got good photo of little Andy!

Cleaning out the quail this evening and I noticed their water dish was leaking 😣. So the kids and I got them a new little bowl. At first they were scared of it😂. Ducking their heads and pecking at the side of the new bowl. When we continued to clean them out I Was holding this little one when I went to take a photo of it and I noticed it was giving me the stink eye!😂🤣😂🤣

The last few days where I live have been nothing but rain! So no yard work for me but I did get some seeds planted and put in the green house. I started some spinach seeds I also picked an artichoke plant. I’ve never done one of those it will be interesting to see how it goes!
