Merry Christmas! I hope everyone Christmas eve and day was good. Our Christmas eve was eventful! Little back story… my one year old has been learning about putting stuff in the sink/ washing hands. Every time he would put something in ( like a cracker or his sippy cup) we would clap. Fast forward to Christmas eve. My daughter and I were baking banana bread. I went to put the eggs shells in the garbage disposal. Turned it on and it made a really odd noise. So I feel around in there and what do I feel….

this Hot wheel truck! The bed of the truck was wedged Under the Blade of the garbage disposal. I cut up my finger pretty good trying to get it out. I called a few people with hopes that they would be able to come out and help. Broom handle didn’t work .. in fact it broke my broom handle. The next person coming over to help brought a crow bar! That did it.. and it only took a few hours. (3 hours of me trying before I called for help) #makesurenothingisinthere #neverdullatmyhouse #myfingerhurts

I love snow globes! Through out the years they have either gotten broken by moving or the kids. I had one left, it was a small one had a white tiger cub in the middle of it. I loved it. Then the other day it got broken 😭. As I cleaned up the mess my husband said not to be upset that I could start a new collection of snow globes. To cheer me up he got me this one to start with. It has a fox in the middle of it. 😁😁😁🖤#besthusband

My girls ( chickens ) are doing good this winter. We had some snow the night before. They didn’t mind🤣. They are still laying eggs. Yay! I found Medusa sitting on four eggs this afternoon.

With Christmas being on Monday you would think I would be ready! 🤣🤣 I am for the most part, just need stocking stuffers! The reason why it is taking me so long to get them.. well what do you get a 14 year old for his stocking? Most of the stocking things you find are for little kids or girly stuff. Even though I would care if he wanted to paint his nails. I don’t think he wants glitter nail polish. 🤣🤣 so here is a few ideas I came up with for my 14 year old stocking. 1. Beef jerky, he loves the stuff so why not stuff it into a stocking 2. Gum, he always ask for it chews some of it then forgets about it and it gets hard so why not get the gum. I mean after all don’t want to break tradition of chewing some of it and then wasting the rest right? 3. Socks, those come in handy for many reasons. You can wear them on your feet or your little brother can take them and make puppets out of them. 4. Pokemon cards, he has collected these sense he was little and every Christmas I give him a few packs so why break that tradition! #lovechristmas #lovemybigfamily

My daughter’s seventh birthday was this week. She wanted to do a lady bug theme. Which means she wanted a lady bug cake. She and I set out to make this cake, it took us almost 3 hours due to making the chocolate flowers for the spots, legs, an the antennas and not to mention I had to stop to do things with her younger siblings. It turned out how she wanted it and that’s great.. as for me I would of liked it to look different but she loved it and that is what matters. While we were waiting for the chocolate flowers to set in the refrigerator I made another little round cake. I was going to make that little round one look like a kitty… only that one became the cake for her little party .. because the dog jumped up and ate the other cake while we were out getting eggs from the girls (chickens). #crazydog #goodthingimadeanother

Spending time with Rwby! Our little bun( bunny) is doing wonderful! She does great with the kids. I was at first worried since she is young and hadn’t been around very young children, but she does good around them. We did her first nail trim the other day she did very well. Our bun that we had a few years back was not great at having her nails trimmed. As much as I do miss our other bunny, I’m thankful Rwby holds still! #loveourbunny

My wonderful husband got me a few new things last night. He got me a little tree for right now I will leave it in the pot and then in the spring time do a bigger pot. He also got me this cute blue gravy boat filled with chocolates. Yum! What I love the most is the beanie he got me! It says Merry Elfin Christmas on it and it lights up!( I can’t get the switch to work but my husband can lol) Now I have a new beanie to wear when I go out to clean or feed/water the chickens 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #lovemynewstuff #lovemynewhat #merrychristmas

Girls ( chickens ) are not happy when their water has froze. I’ve looked into heated bowls just haven’t decided on what one I would like to get for them. This morning they look like they were playing a game of “kick the can” ( it’s an old game from back in the day). Only the can was their water jug. So for right now until I decide which heated water bowl will be best I have two water jugs for them. The frozen one comes in and gets cleaned and thawed out while the one from the house will go out in the morning for them. #chickens #ilovemychickens #coldoutside

This evening I hosted a holiday party. I made pizza boats!

They were fun and easy to do. Taking tortilla shells and cutting circles into them. I didn’t have a round cookie cutter so I used a measuring cup. 🤣 the recipe that you see going around on the Internet calls for you to dip in butter oregano garlic mixture after you get the rounds cut out.

But with doing this they didn’t turn crisp while baking as it says it will. They became soggy. I took my other rounds that I had and didn’t dip them in the butter mixture. They toasted up nicely! 😁 No one could tell the difference and they were all gone! In my opinion definitely fun to make and definitely cool for a party!

What is it about kids and climbing? Im not talking about trees or hills/ mountians. I’m talking about counters, a dresser, the walls, or my curtains! It’s human nature to explore!! Climbing is one way to learn just like touching everything in the store! They are learning how each item feels. With climbing learning how to pull yourself up and where to put your foot, it’s all part of learning.. you know what else is a part of learning having your heart jump into your throat every time they do this. You would think having five kids I would be use to it all but it’s still scary as hell when your toddler starts climbing!
